The story begins when the city was inhabited Mavis as a boy was attacked by a group of dark guilds that make almost all the men were killed. But Mavis and her Zeira able to escape unnoticed by the group. Thus begins the story of Mavis, who lives on a remote island and met with a group of people who will be changing his destiny.

Cerita sampingan Fairy Tail mengenai master pertama mereka, yaitu Mavis Vermillion. Cerita bermula ketika kota yang ditinggali Mavis saat masih kecil diserang oleh sekelompok serikat gelap yang membuat hampir seluruh penduduk kota tewas. Namun Mavis serta temannya Zeira mampu melarikan diri tanpa disadari oleh kelompok tersebut. Lalu dimulailah kisah Mavis yang tinggal di sebuah pulau terpencil dan bertemu dengan sekelompok orang yang akan mengubah takdirnya.
